On a trip to Arkansas last month,
I stopped at Mammoth Springs, where, in a park beside the highway,
9 million gallons of water flow hourly,
making it the second largest spring in the Ozark Mountains.
With all of that motion,
it's still possible to find an undisturbed place
where bird songs blend with the ripple of waterfalls
and downstream, trees reflect in quiet waters.
I paused on the way back at Tecumseh, Missouri,
at the headwaters of Lake Norfork.
The first leaves were unfurling on the trees,
and under a bright overcast sky,
the water below mirrored their yellow-green colors.
There is another spring,
more powerful than any on this earth,
a spring to which everyone is invited:
"I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End.
To him who is thirsty
I will give to drink without cost
from the spring of the water of life."
Jesus/Revelation 21:6

Gorgeous captures - a lovely rich blending of colours in that first shot and the others just ooze peace and tranquility. Thanks for sharing some of God's creativity.
I've gotta get my aunts to take me to Mammoth, I haven't been since I was a kid.

Beautiful and inspiring pictures.
SO beautiful! Sorry I been so quiet these last couple weeks, I’ve been really ill (now finally diagnosed with Whooping Cough even though I was immunized) and have had another very rough week.
What a beautiful place Connie, and so hard to conceive of 9 million gallons an hour, yet still find the peacefulness in the second photograph. Your photographs are just beautiful, and thank you for taking us along.
Have a wonderful start to your week!
xo.
Wonderful "reflections" in word and image.
Such beautiful photographs and a lovely analogy at the end - thanks for posting this.
So beautiful Connie.
What a gorgeous landscape!!!
Connie, beautiful scenes and images. Have a lovely day!
What a great place.
If I had pointed my camera 90 degrees to the right in the picture of my street I would have photographed another spring. The miners in the village used to fill their flasks from it on the way to work - although I am not old enough to remember this! I don’t think it flows at the same rate as yours!
