Fawn Wash

From our raindrop covered window during a recent deluge,
we watched 2 fawns take cover under a large leaning oak tree,
where they laid and chewed their cud until the rain had passed.

Then they did a little stretch...

and a little shake...

then licked off their soaking wet coats.

Oh my goodness Connie, they are absolutely precious! These are my absolute favorite animals, and I do not even mind that they eat many of my plants!
Such gorgeous shots you got here.

Thank you for sharing them at The Creative Exchange! Just perfect for it!

Hi Connie. I love these magical encounters when you get an opportunity to watch such behaviour.

Thanks for dropping in on FABirding .. the buck was part of a larger group feeding together and I was fortunate to snap him on his own showing the natural habitat.

Cheers Frank (aka FAB).

What a fun sequence
They are much prettier than our roe deer, which never have those bambi spots.

What a privilege to witness a fawn wash in your own backyard! It wouldn't have happened here because it has NOT RAINED IN SO LONG, but glad you got it.

Looks like you're making lots of new friends with your blog--so glad folks are finding their way to your beautiful place.

Awww! LoL! The one looks as if he's trying to see something up in the tree, perhaps... too cute & I love their spots! Absolutely wonderful captures =)
