Sunflower Seed Snack

Recently, I put a sunflower seed head outside my studio window

with the chipmunks in mind.

That is, until this young squirrel laid claim to it.

Over the course of a few days,

section by section, he ate every last seed.

Now he keeps showing up at my window, looking for more.

As if there weren't enough acorns.

He was cared for quite well enough before I came along.

All the creatures look expectantly to You

to give them their meals on time.

You come, and they gather around;

You open Your hand and they eat from it.
