Daybreak

The morning is cool, and just before sunrise...

the big guys arrive for breakfast.

Yum!

They seem like good friends,

but when the smaller one makes a move toward the big buck's food,

one look warns him to back off.

As early sunlight streaks across the grass,

it's breakfast time for the little ones, too.

The sun rises and they steal away...
then man goes out to his work,
to his labor until evening.

Psalm 104:21, 22

Beautiful captures of the deer in the very early morning and that sunrise sky is mesmerising. How wonderful to catch such beauty where you live!

The mornings have been so beautiful recently, but this morning I'm thankful for the raindrops that are falling and giving the thirsty ground a good drink. How neat that you can watch those big boys interact and get such great up-close shots!

Oh what a glorious morning you captured and shared. We have two bucks that always arrive together and pretty much have been for 3 years. They are brothers and every year, we hold our breath, hoping to see them both once again.

Such a reward for getting up early. Thanks for sharing it with those of us who didn't get up that early. :)
