Bluebird Memories

The bluebird house outside our bedroom window has new occupants these days,
and the male has found a suitable perch nearby.

Have you noticed how strongly fragrances evoke memories?
This bird house is on an oak tree above a fragrant patch of Sir Winston Churchill daffodils,
and the little ones will probably be imprinted for life.

What could be sweeter?

I'm pretty sure my bluebird house is occupied but I don't have any photos. Hopefully soon.
These are lovely! The subtle background colors were perfect to set off the blue. Pretty captures!

Gorgeous photos , I would never tire of seeing blue birds we don't get them here. They are so sweet looking. I am awaiting the arrival of hummingbirds back to the farm , they should be arriving by next week :)

What a wonderful way to be imprinted, Connie!!
I just love these little guys. They have not arrived here, but we usually have 3 or 4 families each year. So much fun to watch.

Sounds like they have made a very suitable choice to raise their coming clutches of young Bluebirds...always such a treat to observe~

Very pretty blubirds. How lucky to have them just outside your window to enjoy.

a truly sweet little bird. It must've been the first 'bird' I remember as a child only because of the little jewellery item, a golden locket with a little enamelled bluebird on it. Lovely photos

We don't have bluebirds over here, but the very idea of them makes me dream! They are so pretty and having them nest near you is wonderful. My favorites European birds are blackbirds because of their wonderful singing and blue-tits which are so dainty and cheeky looking!

This is my favorite bird. Your shots are beautiful! We have a pair nesting in a box, but it's a bit far away to get a good shot. I keep trying though. :)

Beautiful birds- such pretty colors. They don't stay around my yard- I guess all the martins scare them off, but every now and then I can catch one passing through.
