Morning Praise

On this bright new morning, a robin greets the sun from her favorite fencepost.

Two bucks, most likely two year old twins...

now spar, preparing to be rivals.

A juvenile purple finch perches on the supplejack,

and a tufted titmouse is silhouetted against an orange sky.

They all give praise to their Maker, doing what He created them to do.

Years ago, we used to sing a children's song in church,

one that I believe holds true for God's children of any age:

The birds upon the treetops sing their song;
The angels chant their chorus all day long;
The flowers in the garden blend their hue,
So why shouldn't I, why shouldn't you praise Him, too?

If you'd like to see a very cute video of a little girl singing this,

Beautiful images of Ozark birds!! Planning a trip up that way in a couple of weeks. May have to get some smoked trout at the Rock Bridge Mill.

Love the silhouette the most -- just might need a card (or three) with that image on it? :) People are always telling me how they love my (your) cards. Almost time for another order ...

Beautiful shots of the deer together. I rarely see bucks here. They are always hiding. Love the silhouette! Very creative.

Your images are beautiful Connie. I hear the birds at first light praising God and I agree with the song...so why shouldn't we.

BTW I've never heard the chorus but I like it.

Love your photos and the words to the song. The video was precious! Yes, they celebrate the morning and so should we, and be thankful for the new day!

Really like that silhouette shot - not all good bird pictures have to look like guide book shots!
