A Friendly Garden

My friend welcomed me to her farm this week,

where sunflower sentries stand tall over the garden...

where beauty springs from the soil,

to be encased in pods and husks,

 wrapped with lustrous silk ribbons...

and fading flowers hold the promise of abundance.

You crown the year with Your bounty,

and Your carts overflow with abundance.

Psalm 65:11

Connie,
It is hard to come down to earth after your previous sunflower post, which is iconic.
Still, the vegetable flowers today are also very pleasing indeed.
As far as you question goes:
I used the double exposure setting on my Nikon D300. Not as easy as I had expected, but at least I managed.

I like how you've photographed the barn to make it look like it's part of the garden.

Hi Connie,

you asked how my mom came up w/ the name John the Baptist... well, all of her other sheep are white, but John was born w/ brown, white & black, so she wanted a name that stood out like he did... LoL!
She's so upset about him, too... she's working on getting a donkey to watch over them, now... She's been making calls & everyone keeps saying that a donkey will watch over & protect sheep from coyote... I hope they're right! =)

ps I'll ask her to be more specific on how she actually thought of John the Baptist as his name... I'm really curious, now! =)
