Light came slowly on this foggy morning, slanting down through the trees...
and beckoning to us from the woods.
The fog lifted to reveal a few brightly colored leaves -
early signs of fall.
It won't be long until the forest is transformed,
but for now, we're savoring some sunny skies, clean, cool air and misty mornings,
and treasuring the dog who walks beside us,
down a country road.
