Fleeting Splendor

Just when it looked like we weren't going to have much color this fall,
everything turned glorious last week,
as if Someone had turned the lights on overnight.

Morning sun transforms a dogwood into fiery splendor,
reminding me to observe carefully.
These days are fleeting.

Teach us to number our days carefully

so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.

Psalm 90:12

Oooo, lucky you! This is a gorgeous photograph Connie, and I love the way you composed it. We had some nice color for a couple of weeks, but then got our first snowfall on Saturday night. That was the end of our autumn! :-(

Thank you so much for sharing this at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

I agree! Just when I thought Autumn was going to be a little dull, the red trees and pear trees took off. I've been pleasantly surprised how the season is ending. Gorgeous photo. It has an almost magical look to it.
