Two Seasons

Where I grew up in Washington and Northern California, with forests dominated by evergreens, the changes in the seasons were subtle.  One of the delights of living here in the Ozarks is watching the dramatic change of the scenery from season to season.  This is Game Warden Cove on Bull Shoals Lake, in summer and autumn.  For a winter view, and the bizarre story of how the cove got its name, click here.

Let the dance begin:
I'm expecting the 16 white swans to emerge from the sides and begin the show. Can hear the music already.
Connie, your images are spellbinding.

I love living here in the Ozarks. After I got married, I lived in the Washington, DC area for quite a while, and really missed the dramatic change of seasons here. Now I get to show my kids what beauty truly is---they both agree that fall here is WAY better than fall in DC!

Beautiful, beautiful photos!

Connie, the first photograph here is by far, one of the most beautiful autumn images I've seen. Everything about it is perfection to me. Truly so beautifully done.

Thank you so much for sharing at The Creative Exchange today.

Have a wonderful day!

The first image leaves me breathless - it is so beautiful! Quite an interesting story about the name. Summer and winter images are lovely too!

That first photo has an almost friendly welcoming magical eerieness to it - and even though I'm writing words I almost feel lost for them while looking at your splendid photo. Also love the clarity of the reflection in the second one.

Although sometimes I don't care for the cold temps here in Missouri, I love the change of seasons. Both these photos are wonderful examples of the beauty we have in our state. I loved the story behind Game Warden Cove. Bull Shoals is a lovely area.
