Late Autumn

On a rainy day in late autumn...

when most of the color has retreated to the ground...

I harvested a bunch of barberry to brighten the house.

The atmosphere is changing with each passing day... the trees just a little barer and the sun sinking in the sky a little earlier.
Lovely shots, Connie. My favourite is the second one with that wonderful light falling on the leaves and Barley with perky ears!

and you're a brave woman,
risking the thorns
to bring the beauty inside:)
