New Parts

A call from the surgeon's office last Tuesday changed our plans for the week.

There had been a cancellation; could we be in St. Louis tomorrow?

We left early the next morning, and Don came back with a new shoulder.

We both brought back mental snapshots of caring and competent medical professionals,

an interesting variety of new acquaintances, and autumn trees, still in their glory.

Don's upstairs right now, doing his physical therapy,

and we're very pleased with his progress.

There's a blessing in the book of Deuteronomy that says, in part:

"you will be blessed in the city and blessed the the country".

We were...

 and are...

 and we are very thankful.

Linking with Soli Deo Gloria
and Texture Tuesday

Thanks, Kim, for the wonderful texture, 'Kristin'!

Glad the surgery went well- love the verses you used to celebrate His grace. And your fall photos are stunning! In Iowa, all of our leaves are on the ground now- just brilliant to see your pics of golden trees. Stopping by from SDG tonight.

Lots to be thankful for at this season -- skilled professionals and the constant inspiration of nature, among those things. Grateful Don is doing well and has that particular surgery behind him!

Isn't it amazing how surgeons can replace our joints! I have a right hip that's just one year old. ;-) Your colorful photos are so beautiful!

Wonderful tree colors, looks like you still have great weather where you live. Here we have lots of snow and cold weather.

Thankful that the week brought good news for Don and that he is on the mend and that hopefully soon, he will never even know that he had problems that took to the need of a new shoulder.
Lovely images.
Happy Thanksgiving Blessings to you and yours~
