A call from the surgeon's office last Tuesday changed our plans for the week.
There had been a cancellation; could we be in St. Louis tomorrow?
We left early the next morning, and Don came back with a new shoulder.
We both brought back mental snapshots of caring and competent medical professionals,
an interesting variety of new acquaintances, and autumn trees, still in their glory.
Don's upstairs right now, doing his physical therapy,
and we're very pleased with his progress.
There's a blessing in the book of Deuteronomy that says, in part:
"you will be blessed in the city and blessed the the country".
We were...
and are...
and we are very thankful.
